I have achieved a Passing grade which is good to hear.
Feedback
"You have produced a blog exploring and analysing the many characteristics, context and the target audience of your medium. Your research activity is purposeful, including some secondary and then detailed primary research. This actually developed an idea to find a capable solution.
You have created effective production documents and experiment with techniques that helped you develop your project ideas. You have some evidence of documentation. You have produced your multi-camera gaming piece. You have a detailed reflective writing throughout your blog. You have evidenced the progress, successes and challenges of your shoot, as well as some screenshots of your rushes, rough cuts and your AE work. You have produced a blog critically evaluating the success of both your processes and finished work against the requirements and expectations of the brief. You have produced a blog critically reflecting on your own process and techniques used within the project, You developed much of this at home... Try to use the facilities at the college to enhance your production value e.g. camera exploration.
you have demonstrated some independence in decision making and have some way to go regarding shooting a professional piece. Progress has been made in spades. You should develop several ideas at the beginning of the project and choose which to fulfil after extensive research. Show your planning documents and make the planning clear previous to the shoot."
This is an area in which I need to improve
This is an area which I am happy with / a target achieved.

I want to be able to achieve the highest mark for the research units therefore my first specific target would be to conduct secondary research in more detail by using alternative channels of research such as Book, Website, Journal, Video, Magazine.
This target will be achievable as long as I can manage my time effectively. This can be done by spending less time developing graphics at college and spending more time researching different channels and applying them to my ideas. In the long run this will help me achieve the highest mark and solidate my final idea.

As mentioned in my feedback "Try to use the facilities at the college to enhance your production value" The Creative Media block has a film studio built in which contains LEDS, Cameras, Greenscreens, Sound booth and a gallery. This allows students to create professional looking videos.
My previous assignment had been filmed out of college due to safeguarding issues I had bought up with management, this meant I didn't utilise the facilities that the college provided and the outcome of my video wasn't successful.
In the future I will use the facilities that are provided to me to ensure successful outcomes for my projects.
This is an easily goal to achieve

By already experimenting with After Effects and Premiere Pro my knowledge can only expand from here.
In 5 years I expect to have achieved Masters in Film Production in which I have created a portfolio/showreel, made a lot of contacts within the film industry, created a 30 minute action-thriller film, 2-3 music videos and preferably working as a freelance editor. However director and camera operator is a viable option. Another option would be to working with Abstract Entertainment ( The Media Group friends and I created while studying at College) as a production company.
By the time I hit 40, I expect to have edited multiple feature films as well as music videos. Along side that I will have 2 children while living in a 2 story house that has a small garden possibly in or around LA and I'l be driving either a Mercedes or BMW.
My brother Felix has lived in London working there for awhile and has connections to multiple people and companies that might need something filmed. London has more potential than Kings Lynn or Downham Market.
My Aunt and Uncle are property developers and have connections to architects, builders and clients all over the world that might need advertisements.
Strengths
I have a variety of strengths which I will discuss below:
My first strength is I have a wide knowledge of Adobe software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. With this knowledge I am able to create pieces in an effective and productive manor.
With After Effects I am able to utilise plugins such as Animation Composer to create motion graphics for videos and am currently learning Trapcode Particular to able to create effects like smoke and fire. I also have an understanding on how to use Camera Tracker, Rotoscoping etc.
I use Photoshop to create still graphics that complement the piece, I have a good understanding on most of the tools of Photoshop.
Premiere Pro is used for videos that don't require heavy use of effects
Another strength I process is that I am always punctual unless there are delays in travel. I normally arrive on location before the crew as this allows me to quietly think and visualise what I plan to do that day and if required, set up equipment. After the crew arrive I like to block with them therefore they understand what their role is and what I would like them to do. This also gives them an opportunity to raise up if they have any suggestions or issues with the production.
I like to show my crew respect as this improves moral and makes the day effective and productive.
As stated in my SWOT I have a few weaknesses that I will address:
My first weakness would be audio, I find working with audio a pain in the ass. Having to apply filters to create the right sound for the right situation is very time consuming. This weakness can become a strength if I learn how to use appropriate audio software and what filters I should apply for certain scenarios, this can be done in my free time and in workshops hosted by College/University.
My second weakness is location scouting as I rarely scout a location, instead if the location is available then I use it without visiting it first hand and finding out what features the location has i.e.; Internet Access and Toilets. This can be solved during Pre-Production by taking a team out that include Director, Producer, DOP, Editor and Screenwriter and checking if the location is suitable for us.
"Perfectionist, both a strength and a weakness. This is good in terms of effectively creating a piece that satisfies the client but in turn requires multiple versions while balancing what I expect and what the client wants."
My third weakness would be as a perfectionist I find it hard to like how a piece turns out, I am always finding things that I can tweak and in turn this can cause issues regarding deadlines. This can be solved by taking pride in my work and working to the client's needs.
Opportunities
Opportunities that I have include SpringboardTV being the Production company located in the College of West Anglia. Because of them I have access to a production studio that includes lighting, cameras and green screens as well as their variety of bookable equipment like DSLRs, LEDS, Audio equipment.
Once I start studying at Lincoln University I will have access to 2 Multi-Cam Production Studios, video-editing suites, audio suites that include foley rooms, 3 radio studios and as well as a range of professional equipment. They also provide students with full access to the Adobe Creative Suite
Threats
My main threat is that because I live in a tiny village in Norfolk my opportunities are rather limited whereas if I was to live in London I would have access to a variety of opportunities however the downside to this is living in London can become very pricey. To battle with this threat I need to find a way to live in Norfolk or somewhere that is cheap to live and have access to transport that I can use to get into cities like London and Lincoln i.e.; Train.
